Who We are
La Crescent United Methodist Church has been a welcoming congregation in La Crescent for over 150 years. Our church has a rich history in the town of La Crescent, Minnesota as being the church with a big heart.
The La Crescent UMC is the church that can respond well in crisis and serves the needs of those in need. We show “radical hospitality” to all people.
Our members are passionate about discovering and experiencing a life-changing relationship with God. We encourage this through a regular prayer life, Bible study and authentic worship and teaching through inspiring sermons that are grounded in scripture. We are called to serve others and demonstrate ourselves as the hands and feet of Jesus through mission trips, nursing home and assisted living ministries and other service in our community such as our Clothes Closet, Lancer Locker, and Lunch Wagon programs.
